Join AMWA-MAC members for a gentle fall hike
At a refuge that from DC is but a short drive.
We’ll stroll easy paths along a lake shore
And confirm that nature is never a bore.

Located an easy drive outside DC, the Patuxent Research Refuge South Tract offers flat trails, views of Cash Lake,
birdwatching, and the National Wildlife Visitor Center. We’ll meet in front of the Visitor Center entrance and hike for
1–2 hours. Parking is free.

Family and friends are welcome. Leashed pets are allowed. Kids are welcome, although most trails are not stroller
friendly.
