DESCRIPTION:Lace up boots or sneakers\, leave screens behind\, \nAnd come for some fresh air and sunshine!\nJoin AMWA-MAC members for a gentle fall hike\nAt a refuge that from DC is but a short drive.\nWe’ll stroll easy paths along a lake shore\nAnd confirm that nature is never a bore. \n\nLocated an easy drive outside DC\, the Patuxent Research Refuge South Tract offers flat trails\, views of Cash Lake\,\nbirdwatching\, and the National Wildlife Visitor Center. We’ll meet in front of the Visitor Center entrance and hike for\n1–2 hours. Parking is free. \nFamily and friends are welcome. Leashed pets are allowed.
