Robin Whitsell, President of Whitsell Innovations, Inc.
Robin Whitsell is the founder and President of Whitsell Innovations (WI), Inc., a medical writing firm with over 75 employees in more than 20 states. Prior to founding WI in 2006, Ms. Whitsell was the Assistant Director of Preclinical and Clinical Development at Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She worked as a Clinical Research Scientist and Team Lead at GlaxoWellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline) in the neurology and psychiatry clinical development group. She began her career at Parexel International CRO, in the late 1990s. Ms. Whitsell holds degrees in biophysics and physics from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and interned at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Session Synopsis:
As medical writers, we are often responsible for delivering documents that require expertise and input from a variety of team members. Though we carry a leadership role for our teams, we do not (necessarily) have authority over those team members. This session will map out strategies for effectively driving team members and creating consensus. We will explore scenarios and discuss plans of action for addressing them and audience members will be encouraged to share their tips for success.
